Larsen Engineering specializes in structural engineering. We work primarily on wood frame buildings for residential and commercial use and specialize in the steep hillside construction that is so common in coastal Northern California. A typical project can include wood framing, concrete retaining walls, deep drilled piers for hillside foundations, and seismic bracing using plywood shear walls and/or welded steel framing. Structural design for houseboats is also a specialty. We work closely with the project architect and have long standing relationships with many of Marin County’s leading architectural firms.
